Women’s Group

The Women’s Group is open to all women of the church, no age limit and no membership is required.

We work to further God’s Kingdom! Our group holds various fund raisers for outreach missions such as Children’s Methodist Home, Chelsea Retirement Center and others to further the spread of God’s Word and His Love in our world. Some of our funds go toward local needy families at Thanksgiving and Christmas. We also support our church family by supplying occasional meals for ailing members and providing funeral luncheons.

We like to have fun! We have begun a variety of activities to strengthen our bond of sisterhood. We recently enjoyed a delicious Korean cooking class taught by Lisa Poy and her assistant Pastor Cloud. Coming up is a Yoga class and a “make it, take it” Christmas ornament. We are looking forward to more fun as we explore new ideas.

If you are looking for a friendly group look no further.

Sewing with Friends

Many of our women love to sew and quilt and welcome you to a once a month sewing day to work on your own project. It’s a great place to get inspiration and ideas. This usually happens on the second Friday of the month.

Quilts of Love

The church supplies fabric and batting to anyone wishing to make a quilt for this project. Help can also be provided to finish and bind the quilt before a label with a scripture, Numbers 6:24-26, and our church name is added. The quilts are blessed then presented to our members entering Hospice or to the Hospice of Monroe County. (through ProMedica)

Adult Sunday school

Every Sunday at 10:30 am, we gather in the church parlor to study the Bible. Anyone can take the time to share their opinion and discuss it with the people in the group.

The purpose of Sunday school is to help and learn from each other. “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another”.  We will build each other up. We welcome those who want fellowship and Bible study at Adult Sunday School.

Now we are studying “Follow,” Adult Bible Studies by Cokesbury.
