A: We have one service, every morning at 10:00am.
Q: How old is Carleton UMC?
A: The parish roots date as far back as the early 1800s. In 1968 five church societies, Grafton, Scofield and Carleton Methodist Churches, Carleton Evangelical United Brethren, Port Creek Evangelical Church united to form the Carleton United Methodist Church and has been worshiping at the present location since then.
Q: Does Carleton UMC help with shut-off notices or rent?
A: Financial help with shut-off notices or rent is not available. The Carleton UMC will do its best to direct those needing financial assistance to the agencies within the Monroe Country region.
Q: What types of mission projects does Carleton UMC take part in?
A: The congregation supports many Mission Projects throughout the year. Past projects that have been sponsored are:
* Project Healthy Living
* Angels United Christmas Giving Tree
* Support of the Haiti Hot Lunch program, Methodist Children’s Home, Chelsea Retirement Home and others as the need arises
*The United Methodist Committee on Relief
*Thanksgiving and Christmas food baskets to local families
These are just a few of the many projects supported by this caring congregation.
Q: What does the average worship service look like at Carleton UMC?
A: Each worship service is around 60-70 minutes long and includes scripture, prayer, and a message from Rev. Jung Eun Yum. Hymns are played by either an organist or a pianist, and every third Sunday we welcome our very own Impact Praise Band. Communion is served on the first Sunday of every month.
